History

HAF was founded in 1980 as a trade shop in Muswell Hill, London supplying architectural ironmongery. The company quickly developed its own design lever and pull handles and local specifiers found the forward thinking approach fresh and compelling.

During the 1990s, the business expanded rapidly and in 1994 HAF moved to larger premises in Hertford, where the company is still based today. Product development is initiated here and custom projects continue to be manufactured onsite, whilst factories around the world that meet HAF's exacting standards are also utilised.

In 2003 HAF began the development of Selectdoor, a new concept in door sets. The Selectdoor range consists of bespoke complete door sets using a steel frame with a traditional timber door and varieties of HAF ironmongery. The benefits of steel frames are well known in Europe and this contemporary solution is now available in Britain. The cost benefits are impressive and have been well received by specifiers and clients alike.

Glass sliding systems have been added to the Selectdoor range and these too have been well received in the trade.

The HAF ranges are continually updated. In 2008 the company will launch a range of taps and shower fittings, which have been designed to complement the lever handles and complete the bathroom range.

HAF designs are acclaimed around the world and the company looks forward to further development in the future.
